Welcome to Malaika Kids International

Tanzania has many orphans with little hope of a future. Malaika Kids aims to help these children and give them a real future. We wish to offer the children a ‘home’ in which they can be safe and secure, receive regular meals and, simply, be a child again. We wish to achieve our aim in two ways; by the Relatives Support Program and by building Malaika Children’s villages.
Network of Charities
Malaika Kids is a growing international network of charities. Malaika Kids started in Tanzania and has at this moment branched out to The Netherlands and the UK. Talks are being held with individuals in France and the USA to setup an Malaika Kids organization in these countries. Individuals in other countries are being sought.
Functions of the organizations
Malaika Kids Tanzania is responsible for carrying out the Relatives Support Program, the purchase of land, the contracting out and control of the building process, taking in the children and running of the children’s villages. The other Malaika Kids organisations raise funds in order to support these activities.
The Malaika Kids network is coordinated by Malaika Kids International. Malaika Kids International is, amongst other things, responsible for the definition of policy, cash management, developing the design of Malaika Children’s Villages and the annual accounts.
